Lately, I’ve had so much on my mind. I find myself making careless mistakes; I’ve missed meetings and emailed the wrong people.
Mistakes REALLY bother me. A mistake that I did will probably bother me for the rest of the week. See the problem is, I am a strong Type A. I am a Leo, and I am an overachiever.
According to this site
Type A individuals are:
- ambitious
- rigidly organized
- highly status conscious
- sensitive
- truthful
- impatient
Types As also
- always try to help others
- take on more than they can handle
- want other people to get to the point
- and are obsessed with time management.
People with Type A personalities are often high-achieving “workaholics” who multi-task, push themselves with deadlines, and hate both delays and ambivalence.
Sometimes, being a Type A is a blessing. Other times it’s a curse. We tend to stress out easily (FACT), we’re known to be impatient (FACT) and I hold onto mistakes as well as think of the worst possible scenario. I analyze where I went wrong, how I can fix it, why I made a mistake and focus on the incident for an unhealthy amount of time. Every little mistake is a huge blow to me, and I am trying to deal with that. I don’t like letting people down and know that my mistakes are not the end of the world. The world will keep spinning, regardless of my actions.
Just like everyone else, I am a work in progress.
